DRC License Error

Hi,

I am getting the following error when I attempt a Verify->DRC with Cadence Virtuoso 6.1.4:

*WARNING* No DRC (Assura_DV_design_rule_checker) or DRC (312) license is available

*WARNING* Verification program terminated

Basically, I wish to use the divaDRC.rul for DRC.

 Please provide inputs.

The message is prettty clear - you don't have a Diva license! (either you don't have one, or they're al in use).

    Andrew.

    Cadence offer several:

    • Pegasus (latest generation - essentially the successor to PVS) - currently only for advanced nodes with limited partners
    • PVS (Physical Verification System) - mainstream tool
    • Assura - needed for some older technologies
    • Diva - legacy physical verification tool
    • Dracula - still used by some older processes

There are also some tools from companies other than Cadence. Generally speaking you need to find out what is supported by the foundry you're using - depending on the technology, they provide decks for specific tools.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
