Regarding "error while evaluating callback" message on msfb window

Hi all,

I am using a design kit with TSMC 0.18 um mixed signal general purpose models supplied to our institute by Europractise. For the components  e.g. nmos2v, nmos3V etc, the value of W and L is set to default. If I change the value of W or L, I can see a message on msfb "An error occurred when evaluating callback. Callback : W-> callback=>tsmc18rf_bsim45_nmos2v_CB('w)". The value is accepted on schematic while in netlist, it remains the same as the default one. And I get the same simulation results. It seems to me that there is an internal problem in the programming of design kit. But i am not sure, maybe someone can guide over this issue. The cadence virtuoso version is 5.10.41.

Thanks

    Arun,

Did you contact Europractice about this? That would be the best thing to do.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

     Hi Arun,

We are getting similar error with Synopsys custom designer tool and TSMC 180nm iPDK. Have europractice provided any solution so far?

     Kind regards,

     Kriyang

    Hi Kriyang,

Yes I got this type of problem and I contacted IME belgium for this problem. But he replied to re-install design kit and that's all. I did not do this, as I switched to AMS 0.35 um and that was working fine. It seems to me that there was some mistake when our technician was configuring installation scripts and library paths on cadence.

    Regards,
    Arun Sinha.

    Hi Arun,

Thanks for your quick response. We are actually working with TSMC 180nm iPDK on Synopsys’s custom designer tool. We have now tried to contact Europractice on this and we are waiting for a response.

    Thanks and regards,

    Dr. Kriyang Shah
