Error found by spectre while running "sf" and "fs" corner simulation

Hello, I am using a CMOS 0.18 um technology design kit for simulating the circuit. I want to simulate the circuit at corner cases when I loaded the .pcf file I notices only three corners namely : typical - tt, slow_best - sf and fast_worst - fs. The circuit simulated with little spread at these corners and all was fine. But then I tried to include the other two corners namely "sf" and "fs" by customizing the .pcf file I found error shown by spectre in model file on msfb window and simulation was aborted, "/usr/local/cad/tsmc/tsmc0181P6M/models/spectre/cmn018_assp_v1d1.scs" 1730: Unknown parameter name `a4np' used to initialize parameter `toxn'. where cmn018_assp_v1d1.scs is the model file and 1730 is the line number. Same error was given by spectre for parameters like a2n,a3n,a1n etc. When I check these parameters inside model file they where initialized to default values. My question are as follow: 1. What is the reason behind this. 2. It seems that these corners were knowingly not included in design kit. 3. Are these parameters defined in spectre simulator. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ From Arun sinha

    Hi Arun

Since this issue is related to model files from the pdk, it would be more appropriate to direct the question to the foundry. Spectre does not initialize parameters such as "a2n", etc. Only official bsim model parameters as listed in $MMSIMHOME/doc/spectremod/spectremod.pdf have default values. : )

It would be best to first download the latest version of pdk and check if the problem still exists. If it does, please check if this problem is explained in the pdk documentations. If not, please contact the foundry.

    Best regards
    Quek
