Sub family of Curves/Graphs together in one main Graphs ?

Is there a way to have a family of curves together in one sub-graph?

For eg: Set A :  I have a set of graphs that deals with Noise/ frequency.Set B: I also have a set of curves which deals with the difference in Noise between curves in Set A (with the same x-axis)Set C: Then there is another set of curves which i intend to have a rate of change curves in set B.These are now three wave windows each with their set. I can't seem to find a way to put them together in one wave window with three bunches of waves. Since the x-axis is common for all the waves (frequency) , i wanted to have a look at them all sharing the same x-axis scale but separated by their respective y -axis.

I tried looking through forum to find an answer but couldn’t. So incase this is a repeat question I'd be thankful if you could reply with a link.

Isn't that just strip mode (in IC614 and before) or separating the signals into separate strips (IC615 doesn't have the composite/strip mode concept - instead it's always in strip mode, but you may be plotting multiple signals into the same strip, and have the ability to explode and collapse a strip, in effect)?

Maybe you should say which version you're using, and which waveform tool you're using (as it suggests in the Forum Guidelines)?

    Andrew.

I am using Candece 6.1.4 at the moment, and the waveform viewer that comes it is Virtuoso visualization and Analysis, Waveform Graph XL . (Version Wed Mar 30 00:24:52)

Strip mode just strips individual curves into single waveforms across the window, and not differentiate the family of curves. For example if you wanted only "phase" bunched together, and output "dB"'s bunched together, for about a 100 + corners, strip mode would give you 100 + 100 waves.

however, I found a way to do it, without using the waveform tool.To run the simulation in ADE XL, and plot the first set of waves, for example, the output "dB"'s , so that the wave window now has one bunch of waves. Then go back again to the ADE XL, Result tab and select the waves from "Replace"(or whatever setting it was on eariler) to "New Sub window", and plot the Phase.

This will give you a second sub window inside the waveform viewer. So now we would have two bunch of waves in two sub windows. This new sub window can be arranged either horizontally or vertically from the waveform viewer tab Frame->Layout->vertical (or horizontal if user wants).

Although not as intuitive, as say LTSPICE's waveform tool that readily supports multiple waves and its analysis .( but Not the Calculator, which is quite decent in Candence), but it does work.
