Please share experience with R-extraction of large power MOSFET used in custom power IC

Hi, We generally rely on test structure data for estimating metal resistance of large power mosfets used in power IC. Recently, I am using voltage storm and assura R extraction to validate if the tool is accurate enough for such large and intricate layouts. Does anyone in this area have any information to share. Vavo does seem to give a nice current density check for such power mosfets.

Thanks Quek. Yes, a mesh extraction would be more accurate and I will give QRC a try. Currently I am using assura RCX and the results are quite different from experimental data. Even for simple layout cases but with weird metal routing, the current distribution over various metals does not seem to match intuition. However Assura RCX does seem to work well for straight layouts. Overall it is OK. I believe a FEM based tool is needed. Does anyone know what solver Assura RCX use?
