How to Replace a cell with another one which is at different lib

Hi,

I try to change some cells with another in Cadence Schematic using "Edit>Replace All" but they are at different libraries so I am getting an error which says that new cell is not in the previous one.

Do you know how to solve this since changing manually is not effcient as you expect?

Regards,

You can change it by using Properties Editor. Just select the cells and change the master will do

     Hi kb how,

Thanks for your response. Could you explain a little bit what you mean with Properties Editor? I think it is not the Edit>Properties( or Shortcut of "q").

    Thanks,

    yayla

    Hi Yayla,

You can get the tool by right click on the empty space at the top right of your schematic window (beside Help), and select "Property Editor". A side bar will be instantiated into left side of your window.

Select the cell that you wish to change and change master will do. PS: You can change all common cell at in one click.

If your spectre version is ic61 and above, you should launch schematic XL.

And right click on the blank beside the help button, choose proerty editor.
