ahdlcmi lib compilation & simulation scripting

Hi all, I'm trying to write a python script that find optimum values for tuning parameters in my circuit.

The problem is that every time it runs a sim, there are several lines worth of "Compiling ahdlcmi module library" which in sum take longer than the actual sim itself. I usually use spectre MDL for sim scripting, but MDL is lacking in advanced functionality. Is there a way somehow to do the compilation only once and reuse it for successive simulations?

Hope I was clear enough, thanks!

    Hi Kampfmeister

You can set the following shell variables and see if it helps:

    setenv CDS_AHDLCMI_DIR /your-path/ahdlcache
    setenv CDS_AHDLCMI_DIR_ALWAYS YES

Please use "spectre -h veriloga" for more info.

    Best regards
    Quek
