Memory corruption freezing Cadence Virtuoso

Hello,

I am trying to edit my layout using Virtuoso Layout Suite L. Whenever I open the properties of a transistor, change the length of the transistor and click OK, Virtuoso freezes and the following message appears in my terminal where I started Cadence.

*** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption (fast): 0x16e0bbd0 ***

It happens ONLY when I change the length of the transistor in layout. It does not happen in schematic or when I change the transistor width in layout. I was wondering if there is anyone who experienced this kind of error. Thank you very much.

    Wonyoung,

Which subversion are you using? Type getVersion(t) in the CIW and report what it says. IC61 has been available for 5 years or so now, and (assuming you're using IC61) there's quite a chance that the problem has been fixed. If you're using the latest 6.1.5.500.7 and still see this problem, you should report it to Customer Support.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
