How to maintain probes in Navigator when descending

dmay

Is there a way to maintain probed nets in IC 6.1.5 when using the Navigator to descend into an instance? Right now, if I probe a net connected to an instance and then use schHiDescend to traverse into that instance, the probes remain and appear in the newly opened schematic. However, if I use the Navigator to descend, (Right Click->Open Instance), the probe is cleared. It is gone, even if I return to the top. My options have it set so that I open in Read mode in the Current Tab.

Thanks,

Derek

    Derek,

    Looks like a bug to me. I can't find any reports of it either, which is a bit strange...

    Andrew.

    Hi Derek,

    It didn't work for me either, but I found a workaround.

    In Navigator->Right Click->Options change to open it in the new tab.

    Create a probe, Navigator->Right click->Open instance.

    You will get one level down + probing in a new tab.

     Return To Top in this new Tab,change Navigator Options back to the current tab .Probe something, descend through Navigator.

    It will work fine all the time you don't close your first tab.

     Let me know if you have questions.

    Regards,

    Eduard Raines
