Search fails to find magnifier

I'm in Virtuoso 6.1.5

When searching for "magnifier", search finds Options->Display, but does not find View->Magnifier.

I've tried filtering for Menus and Enabling all, and it doesn't find it either way.

Wouldn't be such a big thing but I'm using it as a demo in a tutorial.

I did some checks, and I believe that the reason is that those menu items are actually "action" items (they have a checkbox next to them to indicate whether they are enabled or not). I can see why that might be more complicated, because it needs to toggle the menu setting, rather than just calling the callback (this is if you double click the entry in the search results).

I didn't find any CCRs about this. I would suggest that you log a service request asking for this to be implemented. It's just unfortunate you've found one of the few menus that doesn't get found by the search!

    Andrew.

    Thank you Andrew,

I seem to have this obnoxious quality of always finding the ONE THING that doesn't work.
    I'll file a service request.
