=== Original message from forum user Refik ===

I installed cadence on ubuntu 10.1. It was working fine, but it started to give a licence error. In your previous message, I saw that you recommend  to check the info in /etc/sysconfig/network, /etc/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0? In my computer, the folder of /etc/sysconfig does not exist. There is a folder of /etc/network, but I don't know which file I have to check and how to check?

Could you please send me some recommendations about it?

    Hi Refik

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts is for RHEL and Fedora systems. The equivalent path for Ubuntu might be /etc/network/interfaces or /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections. You can first check if the IP address obtained from "ifconfig -a" cmd is the same as that written in eth0 config file or /etc/hosts.

    Best regards
