Conditional inclusion and mpp

Hello all,

I want a condition in my Pcell to include a multipart path.  When I create an instance of the Pcell, the mpp is always showing, whatever the state of my condition. But when check the Pcell and do "Pcell > Conditional inclusion > show", all the correct parts are highlighted, including the mpp.

Is it not possible to include a mpp or am I missing something?

 I use cadence 6.1.5

The graphical pcell editor has not really had any active development on it for a long time, and so does not support more recent things such as multi-part parths (I know they've existed for a long time too, but nowhere near as long as the graphical pcell editor). The recommendation for maybe the last 15 years is that you should write your pcells in SKILL as this is much more powerful.

You can use rod SKILL functions to create the multipart path in your pcell code (rodCreatePath), and you can even use solution 11323850 to allow you to create an MPP using a template defined in your tech file. Then you could easily surround the call to CCSdrawMPPUsingTemplate (or rodCreatePath) with a conditional expression so you can then make the entire MPP appear or not dependent on that parameter.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
