Viewing OASIS layout file in IC5 or IC6

Hi, We run the following versions of icfb $CDS: icfb.exe version 5.1.0 03/23/2011 23:31 (cicln04) $ $CDS: virtuoso version 6.1.5 07/19/2011 04:50 (sjfdl053) $ Is there anyway to view Mask layouts in the OASIS format directly in one of the above tools? If not, do you have any recommendations on how view those files with some kind of format conversion perhaps.also, we are only looking to view the layout in the OASIS format to do some visual checks and donot need to edit the data. Thanks, -Jameel P.S I am aware that the Cadence QuickView Layout tool can read the OASIS file, but we donot have that tool in house.

    IC615 does have an OASIS interface (currently command line), which is currently under beta. If you run "oasisin -h" you'll see it says:

    XOASIS In and XOASIS Out command line translators are only available to beta customers. For more information, contact the Cadence Sales Representative

    So if you want to try it out, you should do exactly that...

    If you want to view it only, the alternative is to get the QuickView tool as you've suggested.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

     Hi Jameel,

    if you're just looking for an OASIS-viewer, have a look at "KLayout"
    at www.klayout.de

    It's the GDS2-viewer i've been waiting for for several years, very handy,
    memory efficient and best usability i've ever seen.

    KLayout is licensed under the GPL, binaries are available for Windows 32
    and 64, Linux requires to compile it yourselves;

    It can read and write GDS2, OASIS, CIF, subset of DXF.

    Hope this helps

    Stefan
