Assura QRC Back Annotation Question

Hi all,

I have a question regarding parasitic extraction in Assura-QRC and what is back annotated into the schematics. I am designing and layout the MDAC capacitor array for a pipelined ADC. I see that for each net in schematic view there are annotated values that sums up total parasitic capacitance at that node. However, I want to know how much of it is Cpar to substrate, and how much is trace to trace capacitance (I have a lot of traces routed minimally spaced to each other on the same metal layer so there will be a degree of coupling). This will allow me more insight into debugging my current design. I have selected "coupled" option when Assura-QRC was run, but not sure how I can select two arbitrary nets and see how much coupling it's extracting.. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Jim

    Hi Jim

You can use "Parasitics->Report" function to report net-to-net parasitiscs too. : )  Please refer to $CDSHOME/doc/paramsim/paramsim.pdf.

    Best regards
    Quek
