dataAudit error in ASSURA LVS check..

Data audit errors means that there are self-intersecting polygons, dots, etc in your layout. You can simply remove those dots which you have found. They might have been created accidentally. The dots might not be easily noticed. Try selecting the reported area and check if you have 2 objects selected. Then press "delete" key.

Often dot objects arise when you have a symbolic contact which has then been flattened. Symbolic contacts use these "dot objects" to represent the connection point, and they are a zero-area object so not especially meaningful for a physical verification tool.

As Quek said, an area select should allow you to select them, although they're quite hard to see except by seeing a slight highlight where selected and an increase in the selection count in the window.

I came across this same problem when using p-cells from the process I'm using. Although I can get around them by flattening the p-cells and manually deleting the 'dots', I'm wondering if there is  some other way to get around the 'dataAuditErrors.

The reason I'm asking is because the eocumentation in the design kit specifically says not to flatten the p-cells, and secondly some of the larger p-cells have more that 1200 of these dot errors, so deleting them one-by-one is not an option.

Any advice on this would be appreciated!
