Bindkeys in IC 6.1.5

I created a list of bindkeys for viewing metalls. For example,

list("<Key>1"    "_pteHiLayerSetActiveLpp(dwindow('pteLayerPalette1) \"V1 drawing\") _pteHiLayerSetActiveLpp(dwindow('pteLayerPalette1) \"M1 drawing\") hiRedraw()");  M1/V1

Everything works fine if i work with one cell only (only one layout window is open),but if i use Descend Edit and/or open many windows bindkeys often stop working. The only thing i can do in this case is to exit virtuoso and open in again. Is there a better solution?

    Alex,

    Rather than using the functions that you see in the CIW, better to use the API functions for this. The problem is that you have a dependency on the palette being called pteLayerPalette1, and that will depend on the window you're on. So instead use this as the bindkey definition:

    "leSetEntryLayer('(\"V1\" \"drawing\")) leSetEntryLayer('(\"M1\" \"drawing\"))"

    Regards,

    Andrew.
