Causes of poor transient response of Op-Amps and how to curb it

 hello,

I designed an op-Amp with a very high gain( 70dB) and very good phase margin(90 degrees) but it has a very poor transient response. what could be the possible cause of that and how can it be solved?

What does "poor transient response" mean? It's rather subjective. It would mean that it's distorted, or suffers from slew rate limiting, or has ringing - could be many things.

In general this is probably not the best place for design advice - although I'm sure there are plenty of designers here who could give advice. A more active forum for real design questions would be the Designer's Guide Analog Design Forum.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
