I'm looking for experienced IC6 users that are willing to answer questions, most are simple.

Urm, so why don't you post your questions, rather than asking if someone might answer them (without knowing what they are) ??

I don't see the point of your post, sorry.  Ask the questions and see if you get answers.  Be as clear and specific as you can (e.g. I am using IC615 (ISR9) on Linux and I'm trying to do...)  This forum will have many users of IC61x (with mixed experience level, I'm sure).

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

Thanks Lawrence. Your point is valid. I'm new to forum use.  At any rate.....Is there any way to change the highlight color of selected polygons to a color like blue? When the edit properties form is opened then the selected object is more visible with a blue outline, but I'd like the blue outline whenever a polygon is selected.  My color vision is less than perfect.......

O.K. how about this....When an instance is selected, if you do a left mouse button drag and select to select a different instance it will move the instance that is already selected.  Is there a way to disable this so that no matter when a left mouse drag is performed it will simply select the new instance that you're draggin over and not move a previously selected instance?

    Hi,

The left mouse drag event is coded as "<DrawThru1>" and bound to "leSelBoxOrStretch()", so you would just change this binding to something like geAddSelectBox() or geSingleSelectBox() - depending on whether you want the new box to be added to the selection set, or selected instead of what might currently be selected. The  geAddSelectBox() function is bound to "Shift<DrawThru1>" so I would pick the latter function personally.  You can modify the bindkey setting using the Options -> Bindkeys menu in the CIW, or by using the hiSetBindKey() SKILL function.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

On your earlier question about colours, you can use the Display Resource Editor to change the colours and save an updated display.drf file with your new setting. The Display Resource Editor is available under the Tools menu in the CIW.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Thanks, I will take a look at it when I get some time.  It looks like I have to create a display.drf file, then merge it. I appreciate the tip.
