save - excluding all signals in a subckt

Hello,

I am trying to save all signals down to the 3rd hierarchy, but exclude all signals in certain subcircuits. I found the following link to be helpful in learning spectre save (www.cadence.com/.../1292427.aspx. Unfortunately, I am still not able to figure out how to exclude an entire subcircuit. In ADE, I chose lvlpub and set nestlvl = 3. Then, I included a save script that says "save * exclude=[*I563*]", where I563 is the name of the subcircuit that I don't want to save. However, spectre still saves the nodes within that subcircuit. Any help is certainly appreciated!
