Selection and unselection of components, IC6.14

1. In schematics,layout,symbol: when i click on some component, it gets selected; but when i click on another component, that one gets selected, however; first one is still selected. How can i make previous selection disappear once i click every new item?

 2. To deselect all i press Ctrl+D, how can i make it happen so that to deselect all i just click on an empty space?

thanks

     Hi,

         Can you try like following format.

                hiSetBindKey("Schematics"  "None<Btn1Down>"  "schSingleSelectPt()" )

               hiSetBindKey("Layout"  "None<Btn1Down>"  "mouseSingleSelectPt()")

    My guess is that you're using some bindkeys as supplied in an IBM PDK - they tend to have this selection behaviour. If my memory is correct, you can just comment out the loading of their bindkeys if you prefer the "standard" bindkey behaviour - or you can override using the bindkeys suggested by Sarvani.

    Andrew.

     IBM provides two sets of bindkeys, one that is their customizations and one that is derived from Cadence IC defaults. I believe they are called bindKeys.il and bindKeyCDS.il, and are located somewhere in the Cadence library of the PDK.
