Assura check the presence/absece of derived layer in if( )?

Hi..

I am using Assura (4.1_USR2_HF10) for physical verification (with IC615). I wonder someone is using any work-around/alternative way to check the presence/absence of derived layer (dfII or gds) in if() function despite the tool contraint to check derived layer existing. For example.

if( derived_layer then

   presence, execute procedure-A

else

   empty, execute procedure-B

);if

Thanks.

Best regards

Mok

    Hi Mok

    You can use this:
    A = /* some layer operations */
    B = /* some other layer operations */
    bgnd = geomBkgnd()
    C = geomOverlap( bgnd A )	    ; empty if A is empty, everywhere if A is
    not empty
    D = geomOutside( bgnd A )	    ; empty if A is not empty, everywhere if A
    is empty
    E = geomAnd( A C )			   ; empty if A is empty, otherwise
    this equals A
    F = geomAnd( B D )			   ; empty if A is not empty, otherwise
    this equals B
    OUT = geomOr( E F )			 ; equals A if A is not empty , equals
    B if A is empty

    If layer A is not empty, layer OUT should equal layer A.
    But if layer A is empty, layer OUT should equal layer B.

    Best regards
