how to stop layout from turning into layout XL, 6.1.4

 Hi Folks,

Here's a fairly new behavior that's been bugging me--I'm hoping someone can supply me with the setting to fix.

At one point I had a cell in VXL.  Layout/schematic.  I've since "turned" VXL off (Launch->Layout L and Launch->Schematic L).

Whenever I descend|edit into a layout cell the tool pops up a window, "Update Connectivity Reference", I cancel and get on with things.

I'd like it to *not* go about updating anything unless I'm in VXL and I'm really tired of cancelling that dang popup.

 How can I ensure this?

Thanks in advance,

--lin

    Lin,

After opening that layout view, go to File->Set Default Application. You can see if a global or cellview-specific default has been set - and change it to whatever you prefer.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
