*WARNING* (LE-104024): lsw: No valid layer purpose pairs. Setting the first lpp to be valid.

I try to create layout (File-New Cell), some rectangles. But this appears.

Next Step. I try to create new library. And attach to existing technology library. For Ex, TSMC. And this works. I can create circle or rectangle. Why? I do not know what was attached. I know factory name and its lib. Is *.db file attached?

If this was not attached what file I need?

Another question. I want attach *.tf.  I have some lib tech file. But I do not find *.tf.

*.tech extension?

Is there another format differing from *.tf extension?

I want know what file was attached and what I need to attach to get real layout where I can change some params like mfgGridResolution

    Hi StreamCX

When a design library is attached to the technology library, the libInit.il file in the technology directory is automatically loaded when user opens a layout. This script usually loads simulation model files, display.drf file and other context files needed for the normal functioning of a pdk. Virtuoso uses the "tech.db" file in the tecnology directory. Sometimes there is a "tech.tf" file in the directory too but this is not used by Virtuoso. The file is most probably left there by the pdk developer for the convenience of anyone who needs to examine the techfile.

mfgGridResolution info is in the techfile so you just need to attach your design library with the correct tech lib.

    Best regards
