Cadence error

Hi everyone,

I am using Cadence IC 5.1 with UMC Low leakage 65 nm library. I have no problems with transistor and some other stuff. Also I havent got any problems with 180 nm UMC library.

But I cant change resistors values in UMC 65. Library allows me to change it in 2 ways- either change physical transistor parameters like Length and Width or change its resistivity and then Cadence have to change physical paramets in a right way. But it doesnt work- Cadence dispalys an error:

"An error occured when evaluating callback.

Callback: w->callback=> umc65ll_RFRES_w()

Message: *Error* eval: undefined function- umc65ll_resDisplay ".

What is a problem?

I am looking forward to your answer, Alesander.

    Hi Alesander,

    The callback function umc65ll_resDisplay is not defined, presumably it would normally be loaded by a libInit.il file?  Did you change the name of the UMB 65 library?  If so, check the libInit.il file to see how it is loading the auxiliary files. I don't know how this PDK is set up, so the files might be loaded by a .cdsinit file - check the file paths to see if they are correct.  Most likely the callback functions etc. are stored within a context file (something.cxt) or an encrypted SKILL file (something.ile) [these are naming conventions and not required by Cadence, so file names could be different].

    If you cannot resolve this yourself then you should contact the PDK provider (UMC) for assistance.

    Hopefully this will help you.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

    Library's name in cds.li was different to its real library name, so i simply didnt attach it during creating a project =)

    Ive just repaired it, so everything works fine.

    Thank you, Lawrence =)
