Generate Clones does not work

 Hello,

We are using IC6.1.5.509 and some layouters complaining that "Generate Clones" functionality does not work.

I tried by myself - created Schematics and Layout using Layout GXL and Generate - > All From Source. After that selected one simple MOS transistor and tried to create clone of it, and it seems that the functionality really does not work - "Create Options" part of the GUI is disabled.

Do you know if is there some option which have to be selected in order Generating clones to be available?

Best regards,

    Hello tyantta,

in my opinion you can't create a clone, because all elements still exist in your layout.

Cloning means creating new devices and wires which will be identical to the master.

Delete the elements which you want to be a clone and start cloning again.

    Hope I got it right.
