ADE XL doesn't run

Hi,

I have looked at some previous posts and wanted to do the same, but

when I tried to execute,

$ldd Cadence/IC615/tools/dfII/bin/Xndx

I get a message,

ldd: Cadence/IC615/tools/dfII/bin/Xndx: No such file or directory

Is there any chance that this might be the reason for ADE XL to not run?

Or could anyone please point to reasons why it is not running?

    I see this in the log file,

    /CADENCE/IC.6.15.509/tools.lnx86/bin/cdsXvncd: /lib/libgcc_s.so.1: version `GCC_4.2.0' not found (required by /CADENCE/IC.6.15.509/tools.lnx86/lib/libstdc++.so.6)

    I want to know if you solved your problem with ADE xl.

    I have same problem, i can simulate with ADE but ADE xl doesn't work ?

    wich design kit and OS are you using ?

    I am using virtuoso IC6.1.5-64b.500.9  (64-bit addresses) and linux on fedora 14.

  • I'd advise you to contact customer support. Make sure that "virtuoso -nograph" runs OK too.

  • Hi Abdel,

    I was able to figure out how to run the ADE XL (but it's not the ideal solution). Since you are using the same version of virtuoso, it might work for you as well.

    Create a new directory with "cds.lib" and launch virtuoso (as shown below).

    Ex:

    **********************************************

    -->cadence (current working directory)

         -->cds.lib

         --> other files 

    **********************************************

     to

    **********************************************

    -->cadence (current working directory)

         -->cds.lib

         --> other files 

     -->cadence_new (new working directory)

          -->cds.lib (INCLUDE ../cadence/cds.lib) --> try launching virtuoso from here.
