Problems during ADE simulation

 Hello,

i am tring to run a simple simulation about a inverter, following a  guide books. i am using ic614 and mmsim61.

After starting simulatio, error occured, and I get the following message:

"*Error* Errors encountered during simulation. The simulator run log has not been generated.

possible cause could be an invalid command line option for the version of the simulator you are running .Choose Setup -> Environment

and verify that the command line options specified in the userCmdLineoption field are supported for the simulator.

A lternatively , run the simulator standalone using the runSimulation file in the netlist directory to know the exact cause of the error."

Just like the similar question in www.cadence.com/.../22031.aspx

i took the advise, put the mmsim path before ic610, but the error message still come out.

./runSimulation show the message below:

wrap3264: Couldn't execv /eda/mmsim61/tools.lnx86/spectre/bin/64bit/spectre: Exec format error

could anyone help me?

Which OS are you running on? What does "uname -a" report?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

I'm surprised it failed with the error it did (maybe try running in 32 bit mode - by using "unsetenv CDS_AUTO_64BIT" (presumably you have that set, since it tried to run the 64 bit executable)), but strictly speaking Ubuntu is not a supported OS - we only support RedHat Enterprise and SuSE Enterprise.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

thanks, i had tried "unsetenv CDS_AUTO_64BIT" in terminal, but it didn't work, leave the message "bash: unsetenv: command not found". Or i should delete the Environment variable in the ".bashrc"

"unsetenv" is csh, in bash just type "unset CDS_AUTO_64BIT".
