Some weird things going on with properties in Layout

Hello,

I am using IC6.14, here is what happens:

when i placed some layout element in the Layout(or layout XL, GXL doesnt matter), and now i press "shift+Q" to enter its properties, the properties window opens, but nothing is clickable there, i cannot tick anything, type in anything or press any button, and i cannot even close this property. the only thing I can do is close the whole layout and open it again.

why would that happen? it never was before like that, just suddenly started and I have no clue why?

any ideas?
