Modeling third party devices in Simulation

Hello,

I am using Cadence Virtuoso IC6.1.4. I am trying to use a model from a third party discrete in simulation and not having a lot of luck. I would like to know how to link a model file i.e.:

.MODEL  MODELABC123 D

+ IS=1.5213e-7

+ RS=0.05230

+ IKF=1.0287e-1

+ N=1.0

+ ISR=9.5e-10

+ CJO=1.2e-10

+ VJ=0.68

+ M=0.36

+ FC=0.5

+ BV=40.4

+ IBV=1.0e-4

+ EG=0.72

to a symbol such that it simulates using spectre. I have found many how to's online but without a complete step by step description. A step by step on how to do link a model file (spice) to a symbol in cadence would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.
