Cannot do Direct Plot in ADE XL

Using Virtuoso Design Environment, version IC6.1.5.500.12, ADEXL, The 'Results' Menu is missing. I have to pull up Calculator, then, click on Vt --> click a node on schematic, go back to calculator window to say plot.

 

In ADE L, have a Results >>DirectPlot >> Main Form window which can let me plot in a free manner with least # of clicks.

 

Is there a way to enable the results menu within ADEXL?

    You can access the same plot cmds as follows:
    a. Go to "Results" tab
    b. Right mouse click to display the menu

    Where are you looking? If in the ADE XL test editor, then it is intentionally not there - since you can do many simulations (e.g. corners, parametrics sweeps, monte carlo, optimization etc), having direct plot from the ADE XL test editor makes no sense.

    Instead you can do Right Mouse Button->Direct Plot over the specific result you are interested in in the ADE XL Outputs Pane - so you can pick an output from the specific test, corner, parameter value that you wish to plot.

    If it's not there, it's most likely to be because you have an obsolete menus file in your environment - but given that it's there in ADE L, I doubt this is the issue.

    Right mouse click on the specific result did allow me to do Direct Plot for the exact corner in question. That helps a lot. It helped on the day you posted the answer, I got caught up in waveform viewing before I could reply to this thread!
