IC610 on SLES11

Hi,

I am trying to use IC610 on SLES11 as SLES10 is totally discontinued! Are there any know issues I should be worried about? The OS support matrix says SLES11 does not support IC610. I tired to invoke virtuoso with IC610 on SLES11 its working fine so far.

Thank You

IC614 supports SLES11 (IC614 is an update release of IC610). If you're really using IC610, that's not a good idea because it is no longer supported and there have been many important updates since it was released - IC615 is the latest release (even IC614 is not supported any more).

As for whether IC610 works on SLES11, I don't know - it wasn't a supported OS, which means it was not tested on that version. So you'd be operating at your own risk (then again, IC610 is unsupported too, so that's at your own risk now anyway).

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Thank you Andrew.

I have a few doubts with migrating from IC610 to IC615
    1. We are almost at the end of the project using IC610, now if we migrate to IC615 are there any issuses we should be worried about?
    2. Is ASSURA4.1 compatiable for IC615 on SLES10?

    Thank you.

If you're using IC610 (i.e. prior to IC612) then there is a database migration that occurs (automatically) when you move past IC612 - which means you cannot go back. Apart from that, everything should be OK.

    ASSURA4.1 for IC615 is supported on SLES10 (see http://downloads.cadence.com )
