turning off icons near cursor in 6.1.5

Anyone know how to turn off those pesky icons near the cursor in 6.1.5?

There's a solution on Cadence Online Support which gives a way to do this.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the tip, too bad it isn't straightforwardly implemented. If you have any input to the process it would be great to have these easily turned off/on with a variable.

You should log a service request with customer support, and explain why it is important to you to be able to disable these. That way the request comes from a real customer rather than just me representing it on behalf of an unnamed individual...

Hi Andrew,
I actually did file an SR. They told me "lots of customers specifically asked for this enhancement and Cadence would not be providing a way to turn them off."
they drive me nuts. I have so much stuff to sort out visually the last thing I need is more clutter. I was just hoping for a good workaround.

Hi TKS,

Regardless of what you were told, I would request an enhancement CCR be filed on your behalf.

Reason: If enough customers request this, the likelihood of the change being made increases.
