QRC menu does not load

I posted similar question in an old existing thread, I am not sure probably I should have post it in a new thread dedicated just to this.

We have EXT10, the qrc version is: 10.1.1-p095

The assura is 4.1, 6.13

In the .cshrc I have:

setenv ASSURAHOME $cadence_install_dir/assura41
setenv QRC_HOME $cadence_install_dir/ext10

And the path to internal folders of ext10 and assura41. However I also do get:

*WARNING* The RCX UI context file is already loaded.

The Linux which we are using is an updated new version of RHEL. what else could I be missing?

    Hi Kabal

You need to ensure that your version of Assura must be at least 41USR1_HF9. Detail version info can be obtained using:

    terminal>assura -W

Please see COS solution 11677778 for more details.

well, here is what this command returned me:

    sub-version 4.1

    and qrc -version returned:

    Name : qrc - Cadence Extraction QRC - (32-bit)
    Description : Parasitic Extractor
    Version : 10.1.1-p095
    Build Ref. No. : 095
    IR Build No. : 095

And I guess this one a version which supposed to work, right? What other problems can be there?

    Hi Kabal

No, this is not a vresion that is supposed to work. It looks like your version of Assura is too out-dated. You should be able to resolve the problem by installing the latest version Assura. I am using the following:

    terminal>assura -W
    sub-version 4.1_USR2_HF21

You need to use a version of at least "sub-version 4.1_USR1_HF9".

But how is that version called in Cadence install directory? Because they are called usually like for example:

    Base_ASSURA04.10.001-613_lnx86

So which one should I choose? (in other words which one corresponds to 4.1_USR1_HF9 or 4.1_USR2_HF21)

    Hi Kabal

    You can use this version:

    30 Nov 2012 ASSURA04.12.021, Version: ASSURA41USR2HF21OA_615

If you are using IC613 and would like to use a version that matches the version of Virtuoso, you can use this version:

    11 Oct 2010 ASSURA04.10.018, Version: ASSURA41USR1HF13OA_613

I have installed newer version, But now even assura menu does not load (not only QRC), and here is what I see in the CIW:

*WARNING* dlopen: /home/soft/cadence/assura41/tools.lnx86/assura/lib/libavview.so: /home/soft/cadence/ic614/tools/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.11' not found (required by /home/soft/cadence/assura41/tools.lnx86/assura/lib/libavview.so)
*WARNING* Failed to open shared object file /home/soft/cadence/assura41/tools.lnx86/assura/lib/libavview.so
*WARNING* (LE-104272): Assura has not been installed in this hierarchy.

    The package libstdc++.so.6 does exist

Also, I checked that my current libstdc++ supports version: GLIBCXX_3.4.11

Then how come CIW complain? Maybe broken link of some sort? but if yes then where?

    Hi Kabal

Would you please provide the following info by executing the cmds in the working directory that has cds.lib file?

    terminal>assura -W
    terminal>assura -V
    terminal>virtuoso -W
    terminal>env | grep ASSURAHOME
    terminal>egrep "avTech" cds.lib
    terminal>cat /etc/redhat-release

Please also upload the output of the following cmd as a file attachment.
    terminal>rpm -qa > rpm.log

    Best regards
