multiple analyses of same type in Ocean

Is there a way to have multiple analyses of the same type in an Ocean script? For example, a Spectre netlist can contain something like this:

dcOp dc write="spectre.dc" maxiters=150 maxsteps=10000 annotate=status
dcOp2 dc write="spectre2.dc" maxiters=500 maxsteps=10000 annotate=status

How  does one do this in Ocean?

  • In general, no. There are some specific cases where support has been added for multiple analyses of the same type (for example, the pnoise form allows you to specify up to 6 different pnoise analyses), but there's no general multiple-analysis support (yet) in ADE. Some work was done to enable this, but the challenge is getting all parts of the flow to work correctly - for example, the direct plot form, the calculator, and so on - there are lots of places which assume that there is (say) only a single transient analysis.

    However, you can workaround it using the approach I give in your other recent post, using a modelFile or stimulusFile to include analysis statements.
