HI, while creating .lef from virtuoso .tf I recieve following warning

could not find 2 matching layer constraints for VIA1

virtuoso generates .lef but this .lef has missing spacing tables for VIA1 cutclass rect and square.

how to resolve the issue?

    Hi,

You need to dump out the technology file from Virtuoso by using the Technology ToolBox accessible form the CIW Tools menu.

Click on Dump and choose teh technology library and specify the ascii file name then click ok.

The file should automcatically opened into a text editor.

Please search for minCutClassSpacing with VIA1 part of it

The rule should be defined as follow:

    spacingTables( ( minCutClassSpacing tx_cutLayer1 tx_cutLayer2 ( ( "cutClass" (g_index...) nil "cutClass" (g_index...) nil) ['sameNet|'sameMetal] ['paraOverlap [g_overlap]] ['cutClassProfile (( "cutClass" (g_index...) nil "cutClass" nil|(g_index...) nil) (g_profileTable)] [g_default]) (g_table) ['manhattan] ) ) ;spacingTablesThanks,
    Alex
