How to get out the various menus function on Virtuoso layout editor IC61?

Hi

A very simple question:

In IC51 layout editor there are many menu functions on the menu bar (like Tools,Design,Window,Create,Edit,Verify,...), but why on IC61 Virtuoso layout editor window there are only "Launch" and "Calibre".

There are some function symbol buttons below the menu bar, but it is not enough!  For instance, I want to "make cell". I can not find this function there.

Please help !!

Something is broken in your environment, because there should be many more menus than that!

I suggest three things. First run:

    virtuoso -nocdsinit

    To see if that helps.

Secondly check to see if you have Assura in your path (is $ASSURAHOME set?), and if so, is it pointing at an IC5141 version of Assura?

Thirdly look for any "menus" directories (type "cdswhich -all menus"). If so, these might be old menus files which are incompatible with IC61 (I'm not sure this is it though).

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Hi Andrew, thanks a lot for your help

    1. virtuoso -nocdsinit:  the result is the same. there is no additional menus

    2.  $ASSURAHOME: yes, it is poiting to an IC51 version

          declare -x ASSURAHOME="/cad/cadence/ASSURA4.10.005_IC5.1.41.lnx86"

    3.  "cdswhich -all menus": the result is

Info (cdswhich): 'menus' was not found

What elso should I do?  Please help !

Either unset the ASSURAHOME environment variable (using the appropriate command for the shell you're using, typically either unsetenv or unset) or set it to an appropriate IC61 version of Assura.

    Andrew
