Issue in using TURBO Tool-Box

 Dear All,

I am using TURBO TOOL BOX for layout with Layout XL.

But at times (  there is a  huge channce), while using it ( pressing some keys) the layout XL is becoming slow and everthing gets blank. Even I can't enter any command in CIW. To me it looks like TURBO is doing some task in background.

The only option left with is either wait for 20 to 30 mins or KILL icfb.

However there is no issue while using XL without Turbo.

Could anybody please tell why it happening so.

    Which particular features of Turbo Toolbox are you using?

    Dear Andrew,

    I couldn't get what exactly you are asking for.

    Actually, I am using Turbo Tool Box ( which is explained in) cadence/installdir/doc/toolbox.pdf.

    I mostly use AutoContact,Contact area, Bus labelling features.

    It looks like Turbo is having some comaptibilty issue or what

    Since the turbo toolbox is a collection of utilities, I thought it might be important to find out what aspects you are using. 

    I'm not aware of any general problem with it causing slowness, but then I've not really dealt with too many issues related to Turbo Toolbox. Maybe Quek has better knowledge than me.

    That said, you're using a pretty old IC5141 ISR - so maybe you would want to try using the latest hotfix (which itself is about 15 months old) to see if that helps.

    Thanks a lot.

    I will upgrade my ISR.

    By the way, as I have mentioned in other post that my I5141 is as below:

     Spectre: sub-version  10.1.1.200.isr13

     icfb: sub-version 5.10.41.500.6.132,

    Could you please tell what is the latest hotfix for IC5141.

    Whether, the latest hotfix would be comaptible to my very very very old ISR.

    The latest hotfix is  5.10.41.500.6.151 - but you don't get a choice on http://downloads.cadence.com to pick earlier hotfix versions anyway. This should be compatible because it's a hotfix of the same release stream.
