Hi sir,

I want to do the dc analysis of current mirror in spectre simulator.

Apply the following values

vdc=1.2

idc=1ma

vdc connected to Out of current mirror and idc connected to In (ref current) of current mirror

these warings occur give me any modifications required ?

Warning from spectre at Ibias = 24e-03 during DC analysis `dc'

WARNING (CMI-2682): I0.M1: The bulk-drain junction forward bias voltage (963.739 mV) exceeds `VjdmFwd' = 927.529 mV. The results are now incorrect because the junction current model has been linearized

Warning from spectre at Ibias = 48e-03 during DC analysis `dc'.

WARNING (CMI-2682): I0.M1: The bulk-drain junction forward bias voltage (1.02581 V) exceeds `VjdmFwd' = 927.529 mV. The results are now incorrect because the junction current model has been linearized

dc: Ibias = 48e-03 (4 %), step = 24e-03 (2 %)

Warning from spectre at Ibias = 72e-03 during DC analysis `dc'.

WARNING (CMI-2682): I0.M1: The bulk-drain junction forward bias voltage (1.08486 V) exceeds `VjdmFwd' = 927.529 mV. The results are now incorrect because the junction current model has been linearized

Warning from spectre at Ibias = 96e-03 during DC analysis `dc'.

WARNING (CMI-2682): I0.M1: The bulk-drain junction forward bias voltage (1.10099 V) exceeds `VjdmFwd' = 927.529 mV. The results are now incorrect because the junction current model has been linearized

dc: Ibias = 96e-03 (8 %), step = 24e-03 (2 %)

Warning from spectre at Ibias = 120e-03 during DC analysis `dc'.

WARNING (CMI-2682): I0.M1: The bulk-drain junction forward bias voltage (1.10537 V) exceeds `VjdmFwd' = 927.529 mV. The results are now incorrect because the junction current model has been linearized

Further occurrences of this warning will be suppressed.

Thanks,

    Who knows? It suggests that you have a junction that is forward biased which you probably don't want...

    Without knowledge of the design, it's very difficult to advise (as I said in your other post).

    Andrew.

    I see similar warnings as well. I checked such warning in my circuit, it's related with power up sequence and it's really design dependent.
