Want SKILL to check and save schematic!

I'd like to know the SKILL routine to check and save a schematic.

Additionally, I am trying to check and save a schematic with viewType maskLayout(post extract Calibre view) and I want to be able to check and save it as well. Cadence does it as soon as the view is generated however, if any changes to the view are made, no check and save is available.

  •  For a schematic this would be schCheck(cvId) followed by dbSave(cvId). However, that's not going to work for a non-schematic view. 

    Provided you are careful about what you are changing in the extracted view (i.e. you're not doing something that would mess the connectivity up), you can do:

    dbSetConnCurrent(cvId)
    dbSave(cvId)

    This is not doing a "check" and save, but just marking the connectivity as "current" - which means that anything that attempts to netlist it will see it as up to date. Do not use this method if there's any doubt as to the integrity of the connectivity because you could get an incorrect netlist...
