Cadence Virtuoso over VPN

Hi,

I am trying to access Cadence Virtuoso over the VPN. The setup is: Cadence is installed in my local computer, the license is on a remote server, Cisco for VPN. After connecting through VPN, I open the terminal window and run the command 'virtuoso'. The CDS.log window comes up. In the CDS.log file the last text is RESTRICTED RIGHTS NOTICE and two more lines after that. The CDS.log window now looks like a greyed out window and everything stops there.

However, if I look at the license list, the laptop has already checked out a license. In short, I am not able to work with virtuoso over the VPN. Please can you help me troubleshoot this. Where should I look to see what Cadence is waiting for, to continue initializing.

Thank You

I suggest you contact customer support over this - it's going to be hard to debug via a web forum. I have a few ideas, but there potentially are a lot of variables here that would need to be clarified.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
