schematic and symbol pcells?

I have not seen too many schematic or symbol pcells.  Do you use pcells for schematics or symbols in your pdk?  If so, what kind of cell is it?  Why did you use a pcell instead of a static cell?

Recently developed a schematic pcell.  Needed because the topology changes based on different options.
