Error in VerilogA : neither a branch nor a net name

 Hi to all
i am writing a verilogA model for a FET.
In that., i have some calculation with the error function erf(A1)
and 'A1' is some fraction with square root.
i have mentioned 'A1' earlier and mentioned as follows..

A1 = sqrt(A_S1/`kT);
erf(A1)

The error was

'A1' (0) is neither a branch nor a net name.

Is the error function erf() is defined in verilogA or not ??

Then i removed the 'erf' part in the equation, then the error with the exponential term.

exp(-(A_S1/`kT)

when i removed my erf function then the error was

'A_S1' (0) is neither a branch nor a net name.

Please clarify this to me

Thanks and Regards

SRINI

    Srini,

erf() is not a built-in function in VerilogA as far as I know. Without seeing your model code, it is not exactly that straightforward to debug your model based on an error message which almost certainly is not arising from the segment of code you've shared. You probably didn't include the entire error either.

Please help us to help you...

    Andrew.
