Error while running PLL Top simulations with Ultrasim

archive
archive over 18 years ago

Dear all,

I'm simulating PLL top-level. Initially, I used Spectre simulator and the simulations proceeded with no errors. However, it look a very long time. Then, I switched to Ultrasim simulator. While doing simulations with the same test-bench(as used while running Spectre simulations), I'm getting the following error:

****ERROR****: Unmatched double quote for string: tlim/rth)

Could you please help me in sorting-out this issue?

Any help is appreciated.

For your reference, I'm attaching the log file (in MS-Word format)

    Hi,

I saw this also with the versions of IC5141 some late ISR and
    MMSIM611.
It seems to me as a BUG in the netlister, because I got somewhere
in the netlist ""string"" which could not be interpreted by the
simulator. Didn't remember if it was Spectre or UltraSim.
If I switched back to IC5141 USR3 it works again.

I'll suggest you to use a slightly older version of
the IC tools or to look in the netlist for "" (double quotes)
and remove _one_ of them them manually.

    Thanks Bernd.

I checked with the cadence support and they asked me to install the latest ISR - ISR20061204125 for MMSIM.
