IC61 Custom Digital Placer skill for rows calculation

Hi,

I am looking for the skill function to do Calculate Rows for  Placement Planning?

I found the following function:
vcpfeCreateEstimatedRows( )

Description: Runs placement planning to estimate the number of rows required and creates the rows.
Note: You must have the Placement Planning form open before you run the function.

But it requires Placement form to be opened. Do we have something that doesn't require gui?

Thanks,

Eduard Raines

     Hi Eduard,

unfortunately there is no public Skill for that until  IC6.1.6 which was just released. There you get

    vcpfeCreateEstimatedRows()

    Kind regards,

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

I am using IC616.The only problem with vcpfeCreateEstimatedRows() it requires Placement Planning form.

vcpfeCreateEstimatedRows function does get any arguments such as insertFillers, subContact, rows spacing ....

I don't see how I can use it.

    Thanks,

    Eduard Raines

    Hi Eduard,

It's probably best to ask this to customer support. It's new, and it's quite likely that it may need improvement (and a CCR) based on your feedback (I'd take a look, but I'm rather short of time this week).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
