Change Spectre directory

Hello,

I have two question:

First one:I want to change the directory where the ADE is locating the spectre. I tried to source the runSimulation file for a test circuit and the directory for spectre is not correct. Then I ran the spectre manually by putting the correct path and then the input.scs file and then it works fine. 

Any advise about how to change it to the correct directory?

 

Second one:When I ran the simulation by spectre, I got the result file (which is tran.tran) under the folder "root/simulation/inverter/spectre/schematic/netlist/input.raw" But i think the result file should be in the psf folder under schematic folder.

Again, How can I change the location of the result file?

    Mohammad,

    Normally the assumption is that spectre is in your UNIX path, but alternatively you can set:

    envSetVal("spectre.envOpts" "simExecName"     'string  "/path/to/spectre")

    before starting ADE.

    If running spectre from the command line, you could do:

    spectre -raw ../psf input.scs (say). The default for -raw is the input filename with the suffix removed, and ".raw" added.
