ADE XL job dispatch behavior (LSF)

I have seen cases where the Max. Jobs number is not fully utilized in corner simulations over LSF.

For example, I set 32 as the maximum number of jobs for 48-corner sims.  When I launch the sim set, all the 32 slots are fully utilized and the remaining 16 corners stay pending.   However, as some of the simulations finish, the freed up slots are not fully used for the remaining sims and less than 32 slots are used while keeping some sims pending.  I checked the LSF status and confirmed that the jobs are not pending on the LSF side but on the ADE XL side.

Why doesn't ADE XL fully utilize the available slots?   I am pretty sure this is not an LSF or Cadence license issue as the 32 slots are fully utilized at the beginning.

I am using ic12_isr2 on sles11.

Thanks!

Unless you have test-specific job policies defined (which is unlikely because you'd have mentioned that), I can't explain why this is happening.

Please contact customer support; we'll need to take a more detailed look.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
