switching between spectre and mmsim

Hi.

I'm using IC5.1.41 and I'm looking for a way to switch between versions of spectre (5.10 and mmsim 7.11), during an ADE session, without having to change the environment start up scripts and restart ICFB.

 Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Why would you ever want to be running spectre 5.10. That is a good 9 years old and hasn't been touched in that time.

You could manipulate the "PATH" environment variable using setShellEnvVar(), but I don't think this makes a lot of sense.

    Andrew.

That a good point! But for some simulations, spectre 5.10 seems to to be faster than spectre 7.11 (and I didn't see any accuracy difference; I might be wrong on this point, though).

7.1 is also rather old - it does sound a bit unusual that it would be slower, but to be honest there have been a lot of performance improvements since 7.1 (there have been major releases 7.2, 10.1, 11.1, 12.1 and it won't be long before 13.1 comes out...)

    Andrew.

Yes, I know. But that's the version my company is currently using. Thanks.
