Simulation/work folder

 Hi

Does anyone know in which file the simulation folder (Simulator host directory) is set?

Each time I start ADE L I have to go in Setup and set it to the desired folder.

Thank you in advance

Hamid

     Hi Hamid,

Your ~/.cdsenv file can set this.  Here is the default entry:

    asimenv.startup projectDir string "~/simulation"

So you would set this to another location as required.  The .cdsenv file can exist in
other locations, so the home directory is one place this could be defined.  It is also
possible to make such a setting through SKILL:

    envSetVal("asimenv.startup" "projectDir" 'string "~/simulation")

Hopefully this answers the question for you?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

I do not have that line in my .cdsenv. The only related one is:

    asimenv.startup simulator "spectre" .

I will add the line that you mentioned in the file to see what happens.

BTW, I have no idea about SKILL, where shall I edit it?

    Best

    Hamid

I added that line and it worked perfectly.

    Thank you so much,

    Hamid
