Installing and setting up PVS10.1.2 on IC6.15

Hello cadence community,

I've been having problems setting the physical verification tool PVS10.1.2 on IC6.15.I've installed the tool but it doesn't seem to load properly. After launching Layout Suite L -> launch -> PVS a dropdown menu appears in the main layout window, but only "About PVS" is present in that menu. I think that it has something to do with the envirnomental variables or paths to the tool in Linux. I've added almost all feasible "bin" files in PVS installation directory, but can't seem to get it right. The standalone version as stated in the documentation doesn't work as well.

When entering ipvs -drc I get *Error* eval: undefined function - ipvs

I've set up these paths for the PVS tool:

setenv PVSHOME /cad/tools/PVS1012

setenv PATH ${PVSHOME}/bin:{$PATH}
setenv PATH ${PVSHOME}/tools/bin:{$PATH}
setenv PATH ${PVSHOME}/tools/pvs/bin:{$PATH}
setenv PATH ${PVSHOME}/tools/dfII/bin:{$PATH}

Although referring to PVS help documentation I spotted that only a single path should be defined. But this doesn't work as well (the following is copied from PVS help):

setenv pvs_install_path /home/user1/pvs
set path = ( $pvs_install_path/bin $path )

 Does anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Regards,

Aleksandr

    You should only  need <PVSinstDir>/bin in your path.

    You appear to have typed "ipvs -drc" in the CIW, but you should type it from the UNIX prompt.

    I'm not sure why this isn't working - I don't have that version to hand because it is old (you should use PVE12.1 which is the current version).

    Andrew.
