Error on creating wire in Virtuoso

 Hi,

When i'm trying to create a wire in Schematic editor of cadence Virtuoso i'm getting the following error and wire is not getting created.
I'm able to copy/move/extent the already existing wires though..

"Loading layers.cxt
* Field is "color" *
*Error* hiCreateCyclicField: value must be contained within the list of choices"

It was working fine till yesterday.

If anyone know the solution/fix for this problem, please let me know..

    Two things - which version are you using (what does getVersion(t) return), and can you try doing:

    tracev(_schgColorIcons color)

    and then do the Create Wire (please do this in a new virtuoso session before you've ever created a wire).

    I'm unable to create a layout cell view . I get the same error message.

  • Can't really see how you'd get this error when creating a layout view, but the main issue is that you've given no context here. I suggest you post the CDS.log showing the problem as this would show the version you're using, the sequence of commands and the error message. If you can post it as an attachment (via the options tab when replying), that would be great.

    i am also facing the same error with wire whill configuring the new PDK

  •  These errors remind me of a corrupt or missing technology library. Check your cds.lib and your library paths to make sure the library is there and then check that it has not changed.
